The Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO) on April 28, 2026, issued the Online Module for filling permission of non-refillable gas cylinders meant for export purposes under the Gas Cylinders Rules, 2016.
The following has been stated:
• The initiative is aimed at streamlining and digitising the approval process for cylinder manufacturers and stakeholders through the PESO online portal. The online system enables applicants to submit applications, upload required documents, and track approvals electronically, thereby improving transparency, efficiency, and the speed of permission processing.
• The module forms part of PESO’s broader e-governance initiative to modernise regulatory services relating to compressed gases, petroleum, and explosives.
